Current Undercurrents
By: Armstrong, Auth & Riley
7/2/2008 - 7/27/2008

In Current Undercurrents all three Gallery Artists present new works that are reflective of the direction that their work has taken in the past several months. The works in this conversation all speak to subtle (under) and observable (currents) movements within the oeuvres of all three artists.
Kathryn Armstrong has brought her work into the 3rd dimension with pieces on paper under acrylic polymer that project off the wall and provide reflective shadowing as invisible framing. Meg Auth has been busy in her New Zealand and South Bend studios with a large body of pendants that incorporate both precious metals and found stones. Audrey Riley has once again put together a cohesive body of original works on paper that utilize found sources, printmaking and handwork.
The artists are scheduled to be at the opening with Live Electronic Music Improvisations performed by:PLATO & the Western Tradition and, and as usual light refreshments will be served.
Opening reception held on:7/11/2008
